Mrs. Dorothy A. Ayo was born on March 28, 1937 in Dumas, Mississippi. She attended Rosenwald High School in Covington, La. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana before settling in Rochester, New York.
Dorothy and her husband, Joseph Ayo made their home in New Orleans. They had many years of a loving marriage and raised their precious children there. After the loss of her husband and 2 of their children, Dorothy moved to Rochester, New York to be near her oldest daughter, Susan A. Rodgers
